What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a self-help technique that addresses the mind-body connection, involving acupressure and mental or emotional focus.
In a nutshell, one taps lightly or touches specific points on the body’s energy pathways (called meridians) while focusing on a stressful or negative event, memory or emotion. The aim is to clear disturbances in the body’s energy system caused by negative experiences. Using EFT, a person is able to reduce the negative impact of memories and past events, thereby reducing physical and emotional pain. Once this is achieved, the body can often rebalance itself.
The technique is simple, safe and non-invasive. It frequently provides quick relief that lasts in time. The basic technique can be learned in a relatively short amount of time, and easily used on a daily basis to relieve stress and other uncomfortable feelings.
